We have the Model Me Kids playdate DVD. My kids reacted more positively than I expected, because the video shows toys that interested them and kept their attention.
I haven't found any social skills resources for that age group, but I have found an extensive website for middle school kids. Here's the address, in case it's of interest to you.

Good luck with everything.
Hi everyone,
I am looking for social skills curriculum and resources for a small group of 1st - 3rd grade age students. Does anyone know of any good websites or resources?
I am also looking at a few curriculum options. Has anyone used these (and what did you think of them?):
Promoting Social Success: A Curriculum for Children with Special Needs by Gary N. Siperstein, Ph.D., & Emily Paige Rickards, M.A. http://www.brookespublishing.com/store/books/siperstein-6741 /index.htm
Model Me Kids: http://modelmekids.com/
Thanks!
Nicole
