I was thinking the same thing.....
I hear about this MMR shot but when I look back on little things - he was showing signs well before.
I remember when he was 10-12 months - he would never yell from the crib for me, I would walk in and he would be starring at the door waiting....i used to think it was cute and say - my little boy is so sweet he does not want to wake mamma up!!
Also, he was always such a passive baby, i had to always make sure to feed him,he never cried for a bottle
My son is just over 7months old. He's had all of his shots so far, without complications. However, I'm getting really worried about the MMR shot. I'm not sure what I believe about it. I hear a lot about how it could trigger autism. I've read a lot of stories on the internet...but anything can be posted on the internet. How many of you believe vaccines are the culprit? I really want to postpone this shot with my son or have it in three separate doses. I have know idea if they will do that though. Just curious if anyone decided NOT to vaccinate but still have a child with autism.
All vaccinations have risks and you should consider all vaccinations (and medications) your child gets carefully. That said, if my son’s autism was triggered by a vaccination, it was not by the MMR. He showed unmistakable (especially in hindsight) autistic behaviors before he was a year old, and he did not receive and MMR shot until he was 15 months.
