So glad to hear things went well for you and your son!!!! I know what you mean about having a son who doesn't know his own strength, our dog just had puppies and Nick wants to hold them and kiss them but he gets excited and is too rough with them.

Glad to hear it all went well Ruth! And ESPECIALLY glad to hear Matthew did so well!
.Well, it was alright. Matthew had a great time with all his cousins. His socialization is getting better in that he wanted to play with them. Now the problem is that he is such a big 4 year old and he likes to play with the younger ones. He's such a rough and tumble boy and doesn't know or understand his own strength. He loves to hug and kiss the babies but he squeezes to hard and just doesn't get it when I tell him to be gentle. And the younger kids of course don't understand why Matthew is so different when he looks so normal. But all in all it was a good time for everyone. Noone really got hurt except for a few falls that only gave a couple tears.
The family seems to be "getting it" about Matthew. They would even like for me to talk to one of the other family members about his son cause they suspect he may be autistic too.
I tell you though it will be a long time before I have another party. It is just too much work. Oh wait Matthews birthday is in November, I guess it won't be that long afterall.
