being his Aid I'm very proud of him considering 12 months ago he was a differnt child all to gether. All though he has a long way to go. their is a big improvement.

Communication: He is making a good process using the visual supports to make choices and requests for food and drink. he will make a clear choice of foods during mealtimes. he makes choices, choosing preferred songs using the visual supports during Morning Circle.

Social Skills: he waved" Bye by" to his mum as she was leaving him. he has acknowledged a greeting or farewell by good eye contact and smiling. he has been quite receptive to vistors to our classroom. he shows interest in them by looking at them Frequently when they are speaking. he smiles and laughs and sometimes attemps to engage them in social interaction by taking them to a desired object or book to share with them. he shows interest in watching other children playing at the local school playground watching them through the fence. he shares joint attention by sitting next to a student on a computer.

Sensory: He is being introduced to messy play although he protests all the way through it. he tolerates skin brushing beforehand. he is rewarded with a positive reinforcer e.g Looking at books or playing with his pictures for engaging in these tactile activities. he will take part for a short time in gross motor obstacles course with assistance.

Behaviour: he continues to become distressed with negative directions e.g "No" or"stop". he may become upset or cry. However he has sometimes responded to the "Stop" Command by stopping momentarialy looking over at the speaker before running off again. he wil come inside from the playground in the mornings if staff do not follow him to engage in a game of "Chase me".
