Brushing Teeth | Autism PDD

maybe put sponge bob stickers on the clippers?

Congratulations!   Doesn't it feel great to have one less daily battle?  I've dealt with that particular battle, too.

Fantastic!  I've got to look for that commercial.  My youngest is o.k. with brushing, but I bet the idea of "getting rid of bugs" would be a motivator for doing a decent job.

I know I've posted before as to the very difficult time I have had getting my kiddos teeth brushed.  He doesn't like it AT ALL!

So, one day I was watching TV and there was a toothpaste commercial showing the bacteria as cartoon bugs in a persons mouth.

Hmmmm ...

I bought a Spongebob electric toothbrush (he loves Spongebob).  Next time the commercial came on I directed his attention to the mouth bugs.  I told him "lets get rid of Nick's mouth bugs" in a VERY hyper excited voice.

The joy of success ... It's been working great now for several weeks.  No more chasing him down!

Now if I can only find a solution to hair cuts ...
