Anyone from Florida...Uses CARD services | Autism PDD

I attend the the  worksops and trainings. i have also had a representative at Benjamin's IEP meetings. They were very helpful and supportive. This is especially true when the school case-manager refused to attend trainings or Ben's IEP meetings. I have been very supported by CARD. JanetThanks Janet,

I was wondering if anyone out there was using the Center of Autism and other Related Disabilities (CARD) services in Florida?

If so, what types of services have they be able to provide for you and your family?

Hi Robin as I think I've stated before, I live in central Florida (very close to Disney World
I too am registered and receive newsletters and info from some of the other parents in the area.  When my son was younger I had problems with taking him places and someone had recommended I contact CARD because they could send someone out to help work on this--I never did.  He has grown out of that, he loves to ride and go to the stores (of course his favorite ones).  I have not requested any services from them, but have attended some seminars in the area.
