CLE-
The College Living Experience, is a post-secondary support program for
students with learning needs such as ADHD, LD, NVLD, Aspergers Syndrom
and many other learning differences. Students attend a vocational,

attending social groups and activities and learning one-on-one
independent living skills.
CLE
began in 1989 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and today has six sites
nationwide. The new Chicago site, located in Skokie, opened in August
and is off to a wonderful start.

**I was pretty excited to see this - I know we've talked about higher education on this board - and the idea that there are going to be programs in place to support our kids when the time comes really, really excites me!
Wow that is awesome! And I only live about 30 minutes from Skokie, not that I'm going to need this anytime soon LOL, but it makes me feel good to know that it's out there and it's close. Thanks so much for sharing!WOW. That's so great! I hope it is sucessful enough to provide a model for
other schools like it and similar programs at other 4 year universities.
Thanks for the info--I'm so curious to learn more.wow again--here's the website--there are SEVERAL campuses--go check it

Thanks for tipping us about it! I'm going to add it to my "transition to adult life resources" topic.
Is CLE a college? No. The College Living Experience is a post-secondary support service program. We are a residential program that helps students while they attend one of several typical colleges or universities right across the street from our tutorial facility. We offer intensive academic, independent living skills, and social skills support to students while they study and live in a normalized college environment
