Additives linked to hyperactivity | Autism PDD

Hi ,someone emailed this to me ,Just thought I'd pass it along

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/afp/070906/world/health_children_ food_2

I recently read about that in Norwegian newspapers, Time and the Economist, too.  Sounds like one of the first really conclusive studies -- the study was designed in such a way that nobody could claim the results were "biased."

Naturally the food industry is trying to downplay the study because they're using additives that are proven "safe for human consumption."

And not every child reacted to the preservatives, but many did (3 year olds more so than 9 year olds).  But I see the study as all the more reason to keep kids away from soda pop and brightly colored drinks, candy, etc. -- especially if you observe a reaction in your child.
