Any ideas on potty training a 3 year old little girl with PDD? She doesn't talk yet and really doesn't comprehend too much either. There is no big hurry, she is in a school for special needs kids and they understand and will help with the training. I would just LOVE to stop having to buy diapers!
There are several links in the newbie thread on potty training issues. On the PDD, do you mean she is on the spectrum or does she have pdd-nos?

Welcome to the baord Jenalun ! There are some recent threads too on potty training that can be found by clicking through the next few pages or by clicking search above and typing in potty training.
Someone please correct me here and help me out... was it at age 3 if they aren't yet potty trained or after age 3 if they aren't yet potty trained you can get a script and have diapers paid for? Its been a long time ago and I dont recall the details plus as times change Im sure rules do too........... ANyone with answers?
Here it is age 3 and/or if the child is too big for over the counter type diapers. Or if the child has sensitive skin then you can even get diapers from the medical supply places with a prescription.

Thank you so much for the responses! I had no idea that you could get a prescription for diapers for 3 year olds. I will check into that. On the PDD - she is PDD-NOS, with autistic tendencies. I will also check the newbie thread. Thanks again.
How does that work?
My brother is 16 and still has a running prescription for the depends. He gets SSI and his primary care physician fills out prescription for like a yr's worth, and if we need to get them, they are at pharmacy. The good news is we haven't had to get them for a long time. But if he ever has bad day or bad few days we can access them. Also Zack gets medicaid and this is covered.
