Good luck with everything.

YEY!  That is awesome.  Go you!!

I think that is absoluteley wonderful..when I was in nursing school autism was still considered a tragedy and most if not all that were diagnosed were instituitionalized...very dark old ages:(

This is a golden opportunity for you :)

Hi everyone,

I have been posting much, but trying to keep up with how all the kiddos are doing!   As you know I started my new position as the head of our brand new autism program that I am creating from scratch.  Things are going very well....although I am exhausted.  Anyway, I was approached by the nurses in my school who are new this year.  Our agency is county wide and my program in particular has 50% population of kids with autism.  So this new nurse is in charge of providing presentations to the nursing/medical staff twice a year.  She said she has been so impressed with the autism supports we have in place in just her first 2 weeks she wants me to develop a presentation on autism and autism supports for our agency to be presented in the next few months.  Our kids have such a tough time with medical issues that it is really needed! I am so excited to bring the support staff even more on board!!

I think that what you are doing is so great!!!!I have often thought about some service for the teenagers/adults autistics who are denied so many support programs. Some type of service that would have all these things at one place..so what you are doing is something that no words can describe.
