HE SPOKE! | Autism PDD

Share

I just had to share!

We go to church every Sunday, and my son has had his ups and downs. For the most part, he does wonderfully during services, and he even enjoys Bible class. This past Sunday the preacher was saying something about parents, and said "kids are you listening?"

My son said the clearest NO ever!

It is so amazing because he is non verbal, and never said a sound like that before. Only 'I' and 'yeah' and the 'c' sound. We were laughing so hard. It brought joy to everyone, and gives me that little hope. Thanks for sharing the joy!

AWESOME! - Funny too!

YEAH!!!!OMG - that is amazing Great!!That is great! No is definitely useful for a child to know. They probably hear
it often enough.Exciting! Love this lady and some of the things she wrote, Erma Bombeck, here is a quote from one of her writings. "There is a woman whom I will bless with a child less then perfect. She doesn't realize it yet, but she is to be envied. She will never take for granted a 'spoken word.' She will never consider a 'step' ordinary. When her child says Momma for the first time, she will be present at a miracle and know it!"

Mommy to Abby Grace 3yrs old PDD/NOSTHat is very funny, and that is a good word to know! I'm happy for you even if it did mess up the preachers powerful point.Very cute! I'm laughing and have chills at the same time. What a very special moment!  thats wonderful news, lets hope the NO!'s keep coming

That is awesome.  His first answet to a question was telling the pastor he WAS NOT listening.  Not only did you witness a miracle....you witnessed this classic story that you will be telling years from now.

Congratulations.  I pray you have a lot more miracles!

PS.  Was the pastor boring? I am still laughing!

Well--  I remember how church seemed so long as a kid. One minute felt like one hour. He is a really great speaker, he's been doing it for over 40 years, and it is only 30 minutes if that.

He was talking about how parents should treat their children and said the old kids obey your parents. Then he asked really loud KIDS ARE YOU LISTENING?

It was hilarious!

My entire church really is a family, so everyone was laughing and glad he spoke too-maybe except the preacher. My son totally ruined his powerful point!

We're still laughing.

SO cool!!

Sarah would point out all the crosses everywhere is yell "Look it's a T " and I couldnt disagree with her..much too young to explain what it really was.
