My 3 1/2 yr old has pdd-nos, moderate form. She got all her vaccines, talked on time but around 18 months and especially at 2 yrs old I noticed a stall in everything developmentally--speech and social especially, but she was never very social and when I looked at videos recently I saw at even 9 months she was not responding to her name. So...my 10 month old is so different than her big sis, responds to name and says several words, makes lots of eye contact and now I think my 3 1/2 yr old probably had signs around 9 months. So I'm still thinking of delaying some vaccines for my little one...which ones have other delayed (besides MMR) and what did you tell your pedi? I have done some research and feel pretty overwhelmed by all the info on both sides. I just wanted to know if I decide to delay some vaccines, which ones? Just curious what others have done. Thanks.
After my dd turned one (and we had gotten a diagnosis for ds) I never did more than one vaccine at a time. So, we did them every 3 months or so - including spreading out the MMR. Which meant the DTaP, Prevnar, and I think there was a HiB. Whatever her 15-month shots were supposed to be were spread out until she was almost 3. She is caught up for now, but I am guessing I will need to start giving her split up MMR shots soon after she turns 4 in order to be caught up for kindergarten!
We do not do shots at all anymore. Our dan dr. gave me waiver's for both are kids.
