oh no :(order from his neuropsychiatrist, and copies get sent to his psychiatrist and doctor. Bloodwork is a bit of an ordeal for us, as Donny is frightened by it, needs to fast, etc. - it takes getting everything "just right" for it to actually happen. Anyway, imagine my shock when we go up for our turn, the (cranky) receptionist enters our info, then says she can't help us. Apparently, Donny's neuropsych, who's one of the best in the country, and literally saved our family this past winter/spring by diagnosing Donny properly and prescribing the right meds, has closed his practice! Because he was the ordering doctor, they can't do the blood draw anyway. So, now I have to try and get ahold of his regular psych on Monday and get her to fax a standing order requisition, then take him in again once that's done. Then, I've got to get in touch with Children's hospital and find out why Donny's neuropsych is gone and we weren't notified! And get him back on the caseload of whoever has replaced his doctor. Gah! Dear Universe, Please send this family some slack. Thank you. Like you didn't have better things to do ! mama to Sam 8yrs PDD NOS OCD ODD PPD and Alex 2yrs What a headache!and i can't stand cranky receptionist!!! argh! Hope this gets sorted out soon for you and Donny ![]() That sucks, I hope you can get things sorted out asap Sounds like a real headache! That truly does suck. Good luck with finding another psych.
I swear you're going to win the lotto or something Donny's mom. At some point, your luck has to turn.Mondo prayers to you that everything gets straightened out...and you can soon get him back in for the blood draw and treatments that he Needs....and I agree with the the others...its about time that some good luck come your way...so...I am sending prayers for you that way too. That Sucks !!!!Wow ,that sucks!!! All that work should have been done by the Drs office ,now you are left to do it all,and what if you dont like the new Dr,Or even worse what if he dident have a replacement, and your on your own to find someone new,I have had it happen to me. good Luck,Linda |
