I've been doing my own little food experiments with my 5 year old son who has always been a picky eater. I've researched a lot and tried to come up with my own best "mom treatment" since I will not put my son on any meds. I've been giving my son a natural smoothie just for good health but since then he has unexpectedly been trying a variey of new things.
here's my recipe:
I put 1/4 to 1/2 cup of LIFEWAY organic lowfat kefir(strawberry flavored)
I put 1/4 to 1/2 cup of organic concord grape juice
I put 1/2 teaspoon (follow directions on label) of Carlson for Kids Norwegian Cod Liver Oil and mix all with spoon.
I give him this once a day. After about 2 weeks he started trying all new foods without prompting.
There is science behind it. Mostly in the way of cancer prevention but if it works for other things too, even better.
