evaluation for child #2 tomorrow | Autism PDD

Good luck with the evaluation.  I know what you're going through.  Jacob's evaluation was yesterday and hearing the words "PDD evident" broke my heart.  I still had hope that the behaviors he was showing were typical 2 year old things and that he'd grow out of them.  Keep you chin up and keep up the great work.

Well Timmy 3  my second boy  will have his evaluation tomorrow at 11:00

My husband is coming,   I want him there for all perspectives but he feels Timmy couldn't be any more normal.    Oh how I disagree.

tomorrow should be interesting.    wish me luck

Good luck, be calm, you will get thru this okay, I pray for accuracy for the docs!

My biggest concern here is accuracy.  when i spoke to psych on phone and described some of his behaviours her response was Oh so he's doing things to get your attention.     I just don't want her going into this with that in mind, because i could have full attention on him doing an activitiy and he will impulsively run off and do something crazy or dangerous.

I also don't want to overdo it with situations that he's been in behaviour wise because there are many..........too many to count or even want to recall.

Good Luck! before my son was diagnosed my husband felt there was nothing wrong with him too! but thank god he has changed his mind now, and is fantastic, even helping with his therapy! hang in there!

Good luck.  It seems a little unprofessional of her to comment on doing it for attention, but I'm basing that on my own experience where the evaluators were very tight-lipped until the end of the process.

Hi all,  just got back from eval with no dx.  they didi not say one way or another what they think,  just that my sons Verbal skills are very good.  They want to put him in an observatory play group to see how he does with that.

As far as his sensory issues they want me to fill out questionaire and send back.

So i'm back to waiting  I guess at this point no new is good news???

Thanks,   you know i would be the happiest person in the world if they tell me he is just fine but at the same time I would be left with alot of questions and frustration.   He such a sweet kid but oh soooo difficult at the same time.sounds like a no new good news situation to me. You know at the very least he's notone of the easier kids to give a dx to. Good luck!!!!
