Michael was given a score at time of eval, I'm wondering if there is a numbered scale.
There are lots of tests, each with a score. Do you know which test you received as score on?
Most kids are given a dx of either autistic disorder, aspergers syndrome or PDD-NOS (there are also 2 rarer ones: Rett's and CDD). Within each dx, a child can be mild, moderate or severe.
I'm curious whether there is a universal scale of sorts for ASD used to show where your child might fall within this scale AND where i can find it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated..........thanks
what do you mean a scale?
i knwo the ratings go, from BEST to WORST for lack of a better term:
Aspergers
High Functioning Autism
PDD NOS
Mild Autism
Moderate Autism
Severe Autism
with the first 4 being very changeable and the last two not as much -
i will have to dig through old paperwork but his original diagnosis was pddnosMy understanding is that each category can have different levels of severity.
