Beginner- Thanks. I looked at the autism shop and im going to get a few things from there including the brush. I didnt see the stress ball with the clown popping out tho? He does have tons of stress balls everywhere and has one at preschool that he carries all day with him and helps alot. I think he might like it if I squeeze his feet and hands ill try that, thanks alot
Do you do Wilbarger brushing? sounds liek he might be one to benefit. He is seeking deep pressure, and has specific spots he wants it on -- and that is GOOD that he knows what he wants. How about weight blankets, and such?
Sure ill be right over
I dont do any brushing although he would benefit from it greatly I know. He hasnt started any ot yet, still going thru the process to qualify with DDD and we cant afford to pay privately right now and meet ,000 deductible
So I was thinking if giving him a deep pressure massage would help him fall asleep and in the process leave my elbows alone! Hes usually is tactile defensive (right word?) but Ive noticed thats something he does like doing when being touched also hes been pressing up against me with his should or face real hard too so thats when I thought maybe a massage would help him. Does anyone have any ideas that could give me back the use of my arms and alleviate his stress/sensation seeking behavior?
