A question about the fishoil | Autism PDD

We use Nordic Natural DHA Junior.  They are tiny, round capsules that smell like strawberry.  They are chewable.

My oldest and yongest take the coromega. My middle ones take the Nordic
naturals. Go figure, at least they take them.Thanks. I will start with the coromega. tkny12 I don't think there is an age limit cause it is the DHA they are putting in formula now. I think I read that on a website when I started researching it. By all means try google but I think they can be quite young, its basically a food.I just saw a post about it and have been wanting to try it and bought a bottle but I am a little confused about how exactly I am going to get them to take it. The only I can find are the gel caps. My boys don't swallow pills I give them all their medicine in liquid forms. So how are you administering it? I thought about breaking it open and taking it out of there and maybe mixing it with food? I think it would make the food oily? Any ideas or how are you administering it?

Coromega makes individual packets of emulsified oil that tastes relatively nice (orange flavor).  We started with that.

I tried Nordic Natural capsules next to save money, but only Abigail could take the capsules, so I ended up puncturing them and putting the oil on a spoon, which was messy and inconvenient.

Now, I just by bottles of liquid - Nordic Naturals.  It's flavored, buy still tastes horrid.  All of my kids take it straight off the spoon, though.  I give them a chaser of juice or something, and for some reason, they always take it without a problem.  I think they actually like the 'challenge' of it, believe it or not - they're always proud of themselves after taking it.

I too use noridc naturals and use a medicine dropper to give it to Ryan. By the way- does anyone know how old kids have to be to start giving them fish oils? With my younger kids they take it no problem in strawberry milk.   In the beginning, my older kids got bribed with a chocolate after ...like a Hershey kiss.  I put their  chocolate right out so they could see it and they could let me know when they were ready.  No one ever chose not to have the chocolate
