Yo Gabba Gabba! Anyone??? | Autism PDD

My 2 & 6 yr old boys LOVE the show too!  They love to dance and sing along--"go Lance, go go Lance" and "do the Puppetmaster" song.  It's really cute b/c they get soooo excited.  We all sing "there's a party in my tummy, yummy, yummy"

 

I miss when Ian was obsessed with "Cars" LOL

My 2yo was watching when this came on, I thought it was time for The Backyardigans when I stepped in the shower but NO.  I came to check on her and her eyes were glued to the TV (in a scary way)!  I asked her if she liked it and she said YES.  I was horrified.  This show will certainly give me a migraine.  So in the middle of the dancing robot routine I said "bye bye robot!" (mommy veto!) and turned off the TV.  Note to self - never take a shower when Nick Jr. changes programs! Mason loves the show...my dd on the other hand hates it...her reasoning, "Mom, they don't move their mouths when they talk."  So...anyone else's latest obsession Yo Gabba Gabba???? It's a new show on
Nick Jr/Noggin. It's crazy, something out of the future yet so reminiscent of
the 70's kids shows a lot of us remember (think: Great Space Coaster).
Anyway, my dd saw the first episode earlier this week--and that was IT for
her! Now, that's all she wants. She gets VERY excited over it!!! Wondering if
she wasn't the only one...

If this keeps up, I only HOPE they have some toys out by Christmas! My 5 year old likes this show.  It is pretty crazy though.  If you watch "The Soup" on E!, they made fun of it on last weeks show.  So it must be "good!"   Two big fans here! My daughter loves the song, "Party in my Tummy". In
fact, they're waiting right now for it to come on next.
I watched this for the first time a couple days ago thought to my self OMG what the heck is this

 

ETA: Those songs~"Party in my tummy" and " try it you'll like" are driving me crazy!! I am with you JulieA- I hate it too! It is one of the most anoying things ever! My son and his 14 month old cousin just stare at the TV like- what IS this???

HATE IT! I have learned to tolerate A LOT of annoying shows since I began working with children....but this one...NEVER!  We have only seen the previews, with school  now the tv isn't on that much during the day. But judging from the previews once they see it it will probably be a hit. I agree it looked 70s to me too.
