I read as even if they take a little from special needs kids- its too much. He is taking things from the WRONG people.
Calling the services REHAB is awful. Autism is a lifelong disability.
Rehab makes you better....I was unaware Jeremy gets his services to get 'better'. I thought Autism is lifelong and there is no cure??? I went to dictionary.com and got the definition.
Yes- they need to improve things GREATLY.

I know this will open a can of worms, but man oh man- he is the worst president EVER. I know this will open a can of worms, but man oh man- he is the worst president EVER. [/QUOTE] NCLB and now THIS????? I wonder who is left to defend him? I guess I read this a little different than everyone else. It seems to me all they're doing is stopping double dipping thru medicaid. Our private insurance won't give us ST because it's done thru the schools. My ds is non-verbal and has an epilepsy syndrome that is affecting his speech. I'm assuming the govt doesn't want to reimburse private services, and then have to also reimburse schools for identical services. My ds has been on an autism waiver list for over 4 yrs, and have been told it's unlikely he will ever get the waiver, the list is that long. Frustrating beyond belief, since my son is severely disabled, and his condition continues to decline. From federal to local govt, they all need to improve how things are run, and stop wasting taxpayers money. http://rutlandherald.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070828 /NEWS04/708280356/1004/NEWS03
