or picture cards to expalin where you are going and what you will be doing
predictabilty and knowing what will happen are paramount to our kids
try not to tell him you are going out untill the very last minute
get all his things ready and just go
no waiting lol
if he knows that when you go out you are going somewhere he doesnt know he will be scared new sounds new smells new faces all are very scary to a child with routine

Carter is saying go bye bye everytime we go somewhere new. That is all he says. You can see the stress come over him as soon as we pull into somewhere new. He starts to cry and than when we get him out of the car he starts to ask to go bye bye...his music is not even helping anymore...has anyone else gone through this?? I have such high hopes for my son however he seems to be getting worse vs better lately....
