something funny | Autism PDD

Hi All....

Today I took my son to a water spray park nearby my house, which he loves.
There were lots of kids there,  many of whom tried to interact with him to no avail.
He was having his own fun, but it was a little sad for me to watch.

Anyway, when I got home, my husband and I were watching our son run around the yard, doing his own thing.  I told him how he just doesn't interact with other kids and is in his own "bubble".

To this my husband responded, "Good, everyone's crazy...better to be in his own bubble."

I guess he had a bad day at work

Oh, man I HEAR him!  Too too true.

I do sometimes think T is the sane one ...

I have to say, on most days, I agree w/ your husband!!!

On a more serious note, I've often said it's like an invisible wall exists
between dd & other kids. She's usually in her own world of fun, but will
sometimes look at the kids & take a step toward them, then it's like she hits
that wall, & is back w/ herself again. She's also been know to SHRIEK when
approached by another child...that's always fun.
