Hi everyone
Today Devin was here YEA!!! He came right after speech class. He is SOOOO cute!!!I could spend the rest of my life looking at this amazing little boy!! After Devin went home My other grandson came over his name is Gavin, he is 2 months younger than Devin and he is NT. He talks like a 10 year old boy, such big words!!! I'm so lucky to have all my grandkids so close. But it also makes me so sad to see what autism has robbed from Devin. The loder the boys get, the more i see it.
I HATE THIS AUTISM!!!!!!!!!! hi hun autism has not robbed you it has given to you autism is a wonderful disorder i have four on the autistic spectrum i also have AS you must see the beauty in autism when my children are up in the early hours of the morning and they are spinnning and flapping and making the most beautiful noises i sit and think what a lucky mummy i am i have more understanding of myself and am more forgiving with myself autism has given me patience ,loyalty,a happy heart, compassion and above all overwhelming love and pride for what i have spinning round the house lol look for the good even if the bad is winning you will see this amazing disorder for what is is a blessing love shell I'm sorry you are feeling sad you are blessed to have two wonderful grandchildren each special in their own way. Devin is also blessed b/c he has a granny as loving as you. It's great that you come here and post, you'll get so much info and different perspectives you'll be a great support for your family. All the best and I hope you see Devin coming on leaps and bounds every day
Eta I'm sorry I edit all my posts I can't spell to save my life and my spell checker isn't working - it's annoying i know -
I have 2 kids DS- has 3 sons Gabe-8 yrs NT , Gavin 3yrs NT and Noah 9 months DD- had 2 kids Devin - 3 yrs ASD / SID and Isabella 7 months old Devin and Gavin were born 2 months apart to the day then Noah and Isabella were born 2 months apart to the day ALSO what's the chance of that happening? Thank you all so much, it helps more then you will ever know!!! I was just having a very bad day, I know how special Devin's gift is. He is an amazing child, just as my other 4 grandchildren are
I try really to understand his sensory triggers so I can try to stay away from them, so he has a good visit. I sure miss that one
Devin is a very loving little boy, and his hugs and kisses are extra special, because they don't come to often Anyway,I just wanted to thank you all for understanding Grandma to Devin 3yr ASD / Sid I have those days when I hate autism too. It's normal to feel that way. He is so lucky to have a caring and loving grandmother. Also, you seem so compassionate to his special sensory issues. So many people in our family don't even try to understand autism.... he is blessed to have you! these kids have amazing gifts, you will see that.
