I just found out that Carol Gray (the woman who developed Social Stories) will be giving a training session on November 2nd at the Oak Lawn Hilton (Oak Lawn is a suburb of Chicago). It's part of the Autism Society of Illinois's 30th Annual Conference. The conference is a 1 day event from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. I'm definitely going. http://autismillinois.org/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD& ProdID=78&HS=1 I'm super intersted in going, but it only offers a price/registration for members. Do you know if they allow non-members as I'm from WI... Jess - I think it's another $20 for non-members! I'm not a member. Are you in southern WI? How long of a drive will it be for you. I live 10 minutes from the Oak Lawn Hilton. My folks live in Princeton, in Green Lake County about 40 miles west of FonDuLac.I'm actually from the Fox Valley, but if I can find someone who would be willing to drive down with me for it, I'm deffinetly planning on going (I hate long drives to new places on my own.) |
