So far so good over here. The only thing my son complains about is not meeting any new friends (this is a completely new school for him) and gym...he says they make him do things that are embarrassing to him...he's so funny...they make him do stretches, jumping jacks, etc. So far so good...the morning bus FINALLY decided to show up 4 days into the school year, but the afternoon bus is on target. Payne knew his teacher and bus drivers from last year so he was comfy with them. The teacher is doing great with progress reports (daily) and I am scanning EVERYTHING and when I rec'd it. We are in constant communication with the ESE Director for the SB too. He called yesterday to see how Payne was adapting.
In Vermont we start Wed, Aug 29th. They like to send us half the week and give us the 3 day weekend....the VT State Fair is right here in Rutland, so- its starting this weekend, so that is fun.
Jeremy has a small meet and greet with sped teacher and 5th grade teacher tomorrow.
It should be ok...they give him a schedule when he walks in on Wed, and that is done- so pretty much he will be ok...he has a lunch menu already, as we have a new food service and he was very concerned over that....
Now- dumb ol' Math......we got a better plan for that this yr......we'll see...can't get pissed over something that did not happen yet....
I am optimistic though....it was ok last yr...
If school could just be about American History- I would have no concerns....

We start tomorrow..I already am losing sleep thinking about it! I got the teacher I requested for her thank goodness and her room is at the end of the hall instead of the beginning by the front door like last year so I am hoping it will help her hearing sensitivities and much less distractions...
as far as friends go I told her I hope she makes one this year and she told me she doesnt like friends
So, what I thought was hopeless, is happening. I think it will happen for Sarah to when the time is right.
In the Northeast, school doesn't start until the Wed. after Labor Day each year.
