no problem - I'm the one who originally started the thread.
I got a 28.
I have to say, though, people (not here) are self diagnosing themselves with Asperger's based on this test and others like it. While an interesting diversion, it kind of trivializes the severity of the disorder and I get kind of grumpy when reading posts from teens and young adults (places like WrongPlanet), self diagnosed (via online tests such as this), proclaiming their superiority to 'NTs' and mocking 'curebie' parents and such...
If Asperger's can in any reliable way be detected by this questionnaire, then I have to question the validity of the Asperger's diagnosis as a developmental disorder. Any introverted loner type is gonna score high on this test, as are people who just want to hitch their identity to Einstein, Newton, and whoever else are being retrospectively diagnosed with autism. A person who has a similar profile to that of an Aspie, via this test, is not neccessarily or even probably suffering with a true neurological disorder (yes, I know there are real undiagnosed adult Aspies out there, but come on - SBC's test is picking up normal personality types and tagging them with a disorder, here).
Just a pet-peeve - I digress
I know...it's not meant to be a self dx.
I just scored at 36 makes you think

Hubby and I just did this test for fun during his lunch break. He scored a 34 and I scored a 7. No big surprises there. The things he's really strong in are generally my weakness (numbers!) and vice versa. I think we compliment each other nicely!!
My dh and I took the test for fun. He scored a 32 and I scored a 20. My dd scored a 35 and she has only been diagnosed with ADD.

I agree. It is useful to say that a visit to a psychiatrist/autism research centre might be worthwhile, but it does not allow for a diagnosis on its own. When I was disgnosed things like my speech patterns, my gait, my history, my co-ordination were all checked, none of which would have been clear based on this test alone. I've said before it's interesting, but don't use it to self diagnose.
I know that there are people who have self diagnosed who could easily get the official lavel, but who shy away from it out of a fear that they will be discriminated against, however.

Yep, I got 36 too and wasn't surprised, particularly when dh got 10!!
The good thing is that I have 'succeeded' in life so I feel quite good about my mini Aspie....
