Wow this is a busy board.
Thank you for the links. I will definately be looking into this as well. I feel so grateful that I found this forum!!!

I am reading a lot about this on the board and am wondering a couple of things.
One, how do you find someone who is qualified to do this treatment?
Two, will the school district pay for it under an ISFP?
I think my little one could really benefit from ABA.

I should have said - I am in Eugene, Oregon.
:)
I live in Texas and was offered bare minimum services through ECI..speech 30 min a week and no OT or PT services or ABA at all..
we went to a FEAT (families for effective autism treatment) and found a ABA therapists & BCBa Consultant within our city and interviewed them to do in-home program.
We had to pay for ABA & 2 hours of speech a week out of pocket..schools and insurance refused to pay for anything.
It was a miracle therapy for our daughter and we have no regrets..check into it:)
I found the following list of ABA providers on the Autism Society of Oregon's web page:

Thank you both. I will definately look into it. I feel so bad for not getting him help sooner (he's almost 5) and I want to do whatever we can to get him off to a good start.
