I will try it on DS and let you know. I tried to control myself while watching the yawning commercial. I couldn't do it yawned 4 times. Wonder if having been up for a while has something to do with it. DS had interrupted night, so one parent had to try and get him back to sleep. That responsibility fell on yours truly. So that may explain my yawning.

hmmm... thats interesting, speaking for myself anyways I yawn when others around me do it to. Its an interesting theory tho, im very mildly affected, i wonder what level of function the group of kids he used in the study were at. They might having something my daughter fake yawns and fake burps. Then says excuse me?

We love Mythbusters, and I have seen that episode. I never remember the results either, but I googled it. "Myth confirmed" according to this website:

Well, I showed the Starbucks ad to my two sons after school today. I yawned 2 times during the ad and once afterwards. Neither of my kids yawned once. But afterwards my youngest son pretended his Bionicle was yawning. LOL.

The Mythbusters show on the Discovery Channel tested whether or not yawning is really contagious. All I remember is that at first no one was yawning during the test! They did eventually get some folks who yawned. I wish I could remember whether the myth was confirmed, plausible or busted. I searched they site and the only thing that came up was the dvd. They do have other myths posted that you can quiz yourself on.
