well just got back from gi, kinda frustrated. they said he has a leaky gut and that we need to use miralx which is a laxative. they say his stools are leaky around a much bigger and harder stool. but they were adimit that we get him potty trained asap.i told them we were working on a potty training scdeule with his phycologist. so they want him to see someone they have about potty training. but they looked at me as if to say hey he should already be trained. yeah sure if i had a magic wand. i wish he was to it would be one less thing i would have to worry about.i'm doing my best to get him trained. sorry to vent, i just felt like they were ?ing my parenting. thanks for listening.mom2carlo

What I had to do is request that they put the word "autism on the folder or front page of their medical file. Got sick and tired of explaining to the doctors what was wrong with them. And some doctors will still have that blank expression on their face.

Hi momtocarlo...GOOD NEWS W/OT..THATS A STEP..wish we didnt have to wait so long for a ot..school is bk in session in 2wks. n then there gonna eval.him again. for OT well thats why the insurance comp. is working there end on this b/c none since well 5months now..I want homebound OT..n if there eval. comes up w/nothing in sensory stuff then out the window OT goes..well the schools a liar anyway..but happy your on your way getting servces..ill pm you reg..the GI appt..
well we've started ot, and he's going to need a sensory diet. a weighted blanket and lap pad,so again thanks michelle for the pattern you sent me some time ago.he'll be starting pt in the next week. so hopefully that will go well also. As cyndie is aware of he has a gi app. today for his bowel problems. i'm hoping to get some answers today.
