Holy moly! That's terrific! Here is an idea you might like.
I don't know if you go to a local pool or not, but we do ring around the rosie in the baby pool all the time. Jack, Cole, and I hold hands and when we all fall down, we fall back in the water and splash. Big production.
All the little kids in the baby pool see us (I'm the only twit in there with the kiddies) and look me in the eye like....can we? So I'll say, cmon ya'll...want to play? And there I am like Mary Poppins or something with 5 or 6 kids doing ring around the rosie.
The other mothers of course abhor me, because when I haul my boys around like motor boats or give them piggy back rides in the water, their kids then come bother them while they are tanning or online on their blackberries. They want their mommies to come play. Makes me sick when these gals just shoo them off.
But I digress! This is an awesome easy game and so social! Try the pool - he may go for it longer. Big smooch for your boy from us!
WTG Brendon!!
I think that is wonderful! May it be the beginning of many more joint games to come:) This was our first one too along with hide and seek and duck duck goose:) Tag was hard!
I remember around the time before Js dx, I would go to his regular pre-
school and see kids playing ring around the rosie and be so sad. J would
never in a million years do something like that at that point. It drove the
point home with me that his dx was going to be somewhere in the PDD
category.
So, I cried when I read your post.......
I know what a big deal it is!That's great!!!!

The Mary Poppins quote made me laugh. That's how I am and the other mothers look at me like I'm crazy. They have no idea that I'm thrilled that I can lead some type of group activity and my son participates. Congrats on your son playing. This was one of my son's first social game as well.
That's awesome news!
Similar to the pool idea, we do ring around the rosie in our trampoline and the kids get a huge kick out of it.
I'm very happy to report that Brendon played Ring around the rosie today....TWICE!! He played it with his little brother, his cousin, and me. He was smiling and had a great time. When we tried to get him to do it a third time...he had a meltdown lol....Oh well...small steps.Go Brendon!!! That is Awesome. I am happy for you!
