Like our kids and any other human being, Governor Spitzer responds to positive reinforcement. I just phoned to thank him for signing this bill and the woman who answered the phone was PLEASANTLY shocked that someone would call to thank him. If we parents of disabled kids want a positive response for him in the future, it won't take much -- just a simple thank you. I received the email below with the contact info. For those of you from outside NYS, you might want to call to let him know that his great example will be used in your own states to try to get similar legislation. This will help immensely in getting future cooperation. Thanks for taking this last step:
