I've heard of letting them wear a bathing suit. Make sure they remove the tags. I buy Hanes for my autistic son -- cloth-covered elastic and no tag. They have girls panties too. Here's a link to their webpage:
My five year old niece is having a terrible time with underwear. I have
suggested not making her wear them, but my sister insists that she needs to
learn. Anyway, I think that regular cotton with the bands are far too irritating
for her. Has anyone had success with certain types of clothing material? I
have looked for brushed cotton children's underpants and other types of
softer material, to no avail. If anyone has had success with a certain type of
clothing material of a specific brand of clothing, specifically girls underwear,
I would really appreciate some tips. This is a very frusterating issue that isn't
common enough to find a simple solution! This is all fantastic information! Thanks! I think she'd like the rayon ones...they don't stick to clothes like the cotton ones.
well, hmmmm you could sew her some underwear. Have her pick out the fabric by touch etc.
