I don't know exactly what you are looking for, but I saw this website posted here once before--can't remember which thread it was on--but I put it in my favorites, to go back to as a reference for some things.

does that help at all?
I need help here too!
Thanks
The site www.do2learn.com has a Make-A-Schedule feature. However, you do need to subscribe to download it. I think the fee is .95/year. You can check it out for free, but everything says "Sample" across it.
They do have other free stuff on their site. My son actually enjoys some of their games, and they currently have an animated social story about going to the mall.
Maybe someone else knows of a freebie site.
Does anyone know of any good links to help with starting and creating a schedule. I am having have trouble getting started. I have a big magnetic board hanging on the wall in the hallway, I have a few picture cards that i cut out and put magnets on. Where do i go from here???
Hope everyone is doing well today
I ordered a pre-made schedule board from:
Autism Shop
I ordered a PECS set from:
Autism Shopper
You can find similar things on eBay as well. I factored in buying a
program, laminating, velcro, etc. & it was more cost/time effective to just
buy them. I buy some of my social stories too, but also do make a lot of
stuff (folder games, etc.) at home.
Another thing I did in addition to our big schedule (hangs in the kitchen)
is make a morning & bedtime routine schedule (I place an icon PECS on
the schedule for that time, frees up space on our schedule, icon for a.m.
is a sun, bedtime is a moon, I have the corresponding picture on the chart
itself). I laminated on thick paper a list (made in excel) of to-do's:
take medicine
go to bathroom (then inside bathroom I have strips PECS to cue bath,
brush teeth, etc.)
put pajamas on
say goodnights
read story
get in crib, go to sleep
I placed a velcro coin on both sides of paper down the columns. I then
made & laminated 8 cards (pastel princess for bedtime, thomas for a.m.),
we or dd moves the card from right to left once task is completed. For
fun, I added a castle for p.m. & train station for a.m. to the left of the last
task on each schedule. We say "good job, the princess made it to the
castle for bedtime!" & "hooray, you got Thomas to the station!" Just some
extra incentive/fun. Our dd LOVES these, and they have helped a lot. I
will try to scan them in & post them here for you later today. I used all
clip art, aside from Thomas picture for these routine task lists.
***Wanted to add, it was roughly 6 months or more from the time the
therapists were all suggesting we do the picture schedules & all
before I actually got around to it, & felt comfortable with it. I
wish we had done it sooner, although I'm not sure if dd would have
really gotten it as she was uninterested in PECS that much (or just
didn't get them) until just before she turned 3. We've used the
schedule & these routines for about 4 mos now & they really are
good. Next, we are making up a photo album of family & friends for
recognition. We've also been told to get pics of her docs/therapists
for her schedule.
I'm working on a schedule for my 6 year old nephew (PDD), to help him
in the a.m. & p.m. When I've finished that, I'll post it here as
well. Insomnia really does pay off sometimes!
Here they are, first one big for detail. The first 2 we use a.m. & p.m. every day. When we first started, if she would complete each task, she got a sticker when it was all done. Now, it appears as if just moving the character over is motivation enough. Some days, she doesn't want to move them, so we do it for her. The last is a little visual schedule I made for her as dh sometimes travels for work. I made a powerpoint social story for her about this as well (he works from home when he is not travelling, which I think is rather confusing). It seems to help, she no longer thinks he is in the airplane the whole time or that he no longer lives with us. Hope these help.
**The blue door that we have as a visual for the bathroom, we also have a larger (maybe 4 X 6 or so) image of that exact clip art hanging on the bathroom door too.

I made all my flashcards from picture it cd-rom from superduper publications or from dig. camera of real items she recognised....bought a giant dry erase board from thrift store and hot glued a clothes pin bag to the bottom of it ( dollar store) and velcro the following: morning, noon, evening, night..and all activities~toys, computer, crafts, puzzles, mall, park, library, structured play, meals, potty, snacks, self help skills ect...when she finished a task she would take it off and throw it into bag..we used it for almost a year before we faded it out.. Really cheap! You can make you own pics with camera..laminate at kinko's for like for a 8x11 sheet (you can get at least 12 pecs this way) and then cut them out..Very sturdy! I just printed on reg. typing paper..worked perfectly!
I made token rewards or used a treasure box to reinforce her to follow schedule..along with kitchen timer and lots of praise:)
Good luck!
BUMP...in case anyone missed it!
