DH’s present to me - Ireland BY MYSELF

Back to Autism Information >> Next Topic

I have a ton of family in Ireland (my mom is from there and she had 8 brothers and sisters).  They are great people, I just adore them.  I haven't been there since Anthony was 4 months old (I took Frankie and Anthony with me that time). Frankie has actually been there 3 times.

Well, the airfares are really discounted for October.  I get emails from the airline and knew but just ignored it.  They have been advertising in the newspapers too so DH saw it.  DH has been telling me for a few days "Why don't you go?"  I kept saying "I can't go by myself."  He kept saying "why not?"  So I listed all the reasons and he had an answer for every one.  It took him 3 days to wear me down but he talked me into it and I booked the trip.

I am going in October for 8 days - ALONE.  It feels really weird.  I'm already trying to figure out how many books I can read.  I'm excited and freaked out at the same time.

My mom is going to come to town and help DH with the kids.

AWESOME WOW! THat is great!

How fantastic! I've always wanted to go there, being half Irish. My dh is 98% Irish (don't ask me how he came to that figure - but trust me, he figured it out!).

Anyway, have a great time!

Enjoy your trip!    I am so happy for you.  You are very lucky, not only for getting a dream vacation but for having a husband wonderful enough to do this for you.   I'm so happy for you.  That is really wonderful!Oh wow!!!  He really is a DH!!!

Mamajot?  I am extremely happy for you, but need to let you know that if you get smashed flat by a meteorite tomorrow, every single one of us is going to marry your husband.  Hope he is okay with polygamy, but considering HE IS THE MOST THOUGHTFUL PERSON ON THE PLANET, I assume he'll roll with it.  Now, to just convince our spouses!

Congratulations on a wonderful, wonderful trip!  Thrilled for you!!!!

Sounds like my dream vacation.  I second the meteorite suggestion above...cherish that man....he sounds like a keeper.

Wow! What a guy! Mine wont let me drive the two hours to my mom's house.

Enjoy and have a great time:)

Sounds fun!  My dh's dream is to go to Ireland.  He is 1/2 Irish so he would love to go someday. WOW! Have fun and enjoy. It's great to do something for yourself and it's even greater that your husband supports that.

COOL!!
hey, lick that rock for us!

LOL Leanne!!!

ENJOY YOUR VACATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW - Ireland is in my top 5 places to visit. We want details, photos - EVERYTHING!

I am sure you will have the most wonderful time.

Mysh

OMG,You are sooo Lucky,8 days alone,ENJOY!!!!!.

God bless,Linda

Well - the photos will not be too exciting.  I've toured around Ireland quite a few times so with such a short stay I will stay in Dublin the whole time to visit family.  I have over 30 first cousins there!!  I honestly will not get to see everyone.  I likely won't do anything tourist-ish because I just want to see my family.

I will however have a few pictures of me inside the pubs LOL.

Pangle - I will not lick that rock - people do strange things to it

And, if I get flattened by a meteorite DH is up for grabs - LOL.

Have a great time!!  Eight days!  WOW!!
