Tommy had the 8 thing for a very long time. He still likes 8 the best but other than the checkout line having to be 8 he has tired of his 8 theme. Does your son watch sesame street? If so my guess would be that 7 was the feature number and he decided he liked the way it looked or sounded.
jack had a thing for 6 he still does but not as noticable has he once was or maybe we just got used to it and we don't notice it so much he also has a big thing for the color red which again is easing slightly has he gets older didn't relly think too much about the obsession with the number 6 since jack is a number freak its his "thing" he counts constantly but it works for us now in that we can use numbers to calm him.If he is stressing out we can sit him down and tell him to count to 30 and repeat has needed and it really works well for himZach started something new and I'm still trying to make heads or tails of it. He is doing everything in 7's. He gave me 7 kisses today at a time, 7 times opening and closeing the door, 7 diapers in his bag, 7 french fries lined up. He's stuck on 7. Could this be the start of OCD
Not unless he lives, eats, breathes, and you can't do anything around it. I know Gabe has obsessions of the day. Where Jeffrey has a true compulsion, obsession with landmarks and maps.
