And figured out what gtto stands  for: Getting The Truth Out!   Nice presentation.

I always wondered what Gtto stood for too.  I'll be honest and say that I cried.  I'm still bawling like a baby. Amanda, your voice says things to me that the so called "professionals" just are not able to convey.  I may not be able to hear you say the words, but I "hear" what you're saying.  Thank you for doing what you do.Yeah wasn't it great -- and I LOVED the switch from third person to first! Beautiful.

Thank you.

Amanda,

You did a wonderful job putting this together.  Powerful message.  Well communicated.  Leaves a lasting impression.

very nice!

Wonderful websites, thank you for posting. I wish Amanda would publish
some of her stuff. I'd buy the books for sure and I think this should be
required reading for docs as well.
One thing that strikes me is on how humans depend on making a
connection in order to give something intrinsic worth.
Autism is such a hard one for people because many people with asd do
not communicate verbally or non verbally. Many do not like touch or do
not make eye-contact and other people do not know what they think. It is
only when we feel another being connecting and showing an interest or
need in us that we assign them value and respect.
My ds tends to be very physically affectionate and it is always what people
comment favorably on and why there is some goodwill towards him. Gtto
has a huge talent connecting with people through her writing, Without
that she could be the (almost) same person but she would not get
respect or attention.
