I have one for my daughter, I made it for her 5 months ago. She used to scream at night and never sleep but now she sleeps. Anybody ever use a weighted blanket? Did it help with sleeping issues? or any other sensory issues? I just ordered one last week, hoping to get it this week.
I've used one during the day to help calm my son. They give good proprioceptive input.
We used one for a time with ds. It did seem to help initially with sleeping issues (he has Restless Leg Syndrome). But, I would have gotten a full-size one - we got a smaller one than that and it often came off in the middle of the night - which kind of defeats the purpose. But, the full-size ones are MUCH more expensive (I think I got mine for around and it has Spiderman on it - very cool). I was thinking of selling it on eBay, but decided against it since ds just pulled it out and started using it again!I got one on Ebay as well,Its great,Thomas the tank ,very well made and not too big,He likes it to sleep with.
