Don't know if people here are familiar with this site or not, but it's
a web page for people (mostly teens, young adults) with Asperger's
Symdrome, PDD and/or High Functioning Autism.

I've found it an extremely encouraging beacon of hope for our son (not
diagnosed yet, but a diagnoses of PDD-NOS is extremely likely). These people are
really bright, articulate and engaging (at least on the Web) and most
of them are productive in society. Some of them have really been
through the wringer (not surprisingly) and it's very interesting to
hear their perspectives on things like "cures" and ABA therapy (most of
them aren't too keen on either one).
So many of these people wish that others would just accept the fact that
they are different. They are not, by and large, incapable of learning
or being productive in society even tho they don't completely
understand "society" or want much to do with it.
Thought it might interest some of you here. Most of the people on their
forum have Aspergers, but label themselves Autistic, and they are proud of being Autistic!
Kind of exciting to see.
