Allegra’s Kids... good wishes please? | Autism PDD
Well we are home after 4 days 3 nights in hospital. Nina is much better but still needs ventalin every 4-6 hours or she has difficultly breathing. she is finally drinking and having wet nappies, she had to have IV fluids until last night because she was dehydrated. She was so happy to get the use of her hand back this morning. She came off the oxygen late last night and for the first time her levels were ok without it.
So the docs say the problem was a upper respiratory infection that caused her pre-existing asthma to flare up. The allergic reaction was very scary but that subsided after the first day, the fluids flushed it out of her system and she was sedated. She will still need to have steroids at home also.

Father, I thank you that nothing escapes you. I thank you that you love Allegra and her family. I humbly ask you to pour out your blessings upon the whole family, in healing, hope, peace and strength in the midst of their circumstances. I pray that they would be very aware of the ways you work out this situation.

Prayers and positive thoughts for Nina to recover quickly and Strength for Mom and Dad and for little Sharlett, peace and comfort.Hi All, i've just spoken to Allegra, and they will be out of hospital today! Ninadefinitly has Asthma, and will need that to continue being treated at home,
but the steroids have kicked in, and she was able to maintain her O2 levels
overnight. Nina will be relieved to be home and free from the cot she's been
contained in for the last few days. Allegra is looking forward to a real bed,
and to returning to Sharlet's routine, especially the bath time de-
sensitisation program which has been on hold while the rest of this has been
going on. Her DH is looking forward to not being chief cook, school
transport co-ordinator, and 'Sharlet control'. Thankyou all for your prayers
and good wishes. We know they make a difference!Your family is in my prayers.

Just read what has hppened. So glad that your little Ninna is recovering and home safe again Allegra. Hugs LizThere is no better feeling than being home......... and healthy of course. In all the madness, Allegra, try and carve out a speck of time for yourself and take a warm bath and relax in your own bed. You need to take care of yourself too! I know, I know.... easier said than done....... but try ok? Love and kisses to you and all of your little family.So glad you are back home with Nina and the rest of the family. As some of you know I'm Allegra's SIL, and I'm going out on a limb here tolet you all know that Nina is currently in Hospital, has been for 2 days. Nina
has a respiritory infection, and is having huge problems maintaining oxygen
levels whwere they should be. She also had an allergic reaction to some of
the meds. the hospital initially used to try and help her. Although I know
Allegra calls herself athiest/agnostic, I'm asking those of you who have faith
to pray for her family. While Allegra's DH is managing Sharlet well while she
stays with Nina, I'm sure he could use some divine assistance, and Sharlet
has to be stressed by the obvious changes in routine.
Please join with Allegra's extended family in praying for Nina and Sharlet,
and their parents.
Nina will be in my prayers tonight. Please keep us posted.
