EXCELLENT news!
Our Floortime consultant was here today and reevaluated my son. He has now moved up to Stage 4: Purposeful Problem-Solving Communication. He has mastered all of the requirements in stage 3 and some in 4 and 5. I guess I'm excited because I do the Floortime with him daily and I'm doing something right for him. He really is getting into playing and interacting not only with us, but with others and is starting to show a slight (very slight) interest in simple pretend play. Our VB/ABA consultant also brought in some RDI exercises to add to his program. I'm interested in learning more about those.
He is showing some great jumps in development right now and I continue to believe he has the right mix of therapies. I'm so proud of him. It has been a lot of hard and will be for quite some time. I hope others are having these kind of exeriences with Floortime and VB/ABA. I would love to hear more from folks who have used floortime and how the progression went for you.
