I suffer from constant fatigue and joint pain that comes and goes. I've been to doctor after doctor, none of whom had any clue what was wrong. I've had a food allergy/sensitivity test (ELISA), a vitamin/mineral analysis, a blood test for anemia, and other such tests and here's what they showed:
*Extremely low blood levels of magnesium/calcium
*Lymphocytes in "high" category (has been that way since about age 13. I'm 23 now.)
*Low-grade fever--99 to 101--every time docs take temp.
*Delayed reactions to wheat, yeast, milk, yogurt, coconut, egg whites, gluten, and garlic (try to avoid all sources of these foods. Longest I've gone is 3 months at a time.)
*Sluggish/congested liver
*No anemia.
*Scoliosis in lower back, neck too straight w/ no curve for "cushion" (x-ray)
*No heavy metal poisoning (don't know about actual "levels" in body, I'm just not poisoned)
*Normal thyroid function
*Acidic body Ph
I was just wondering whether any of you or your children have had any similar results and what worked for you? Most troubling problem is fatigue, by far, which suddenly developed at age 13 after an illness. I also had my first flu shot that year and had some amalgams fall out in gum. I also started my "monthlies" that year, which is why my first thought was anemia. I've tried supplements, do yoga, and taken countless psychiatric meds, nothing helps. Any suggestions? Thanx in advance!
Have they checked for Lyme Disease?Just a stab in the dark here but Lupus can manifest as low grade fevers, joint pain that comes and goes and fatigue. I remember a patient many years ago (when I was a nurse)who had lupus and she told me it was a long time before her doctor diagnosed it, years despite her symptoms. They thought she was crazy. Till she got a new doctor and he thought to test her for it. Some people also get a very distinctive rash with it but not always. LizLupus was the first thing that came to mind here too:) It can be very debilatating but they do have meds to help...not sure how it is tested? Seek out doctor to test for this and keep us posted:) Good luck! Thanks, guys! Not what I wanted to hear, but I've considered it before, too. Sorry I don't mean to panic you. I think diagnosis is done with a blood test. It mut be tough having this for so long. I get arthritis in back and medication helps but doesn't relieve the pain. Joint pain can wear you down. Hugs LizNo, you didn't panic me. Actually, I've had a doctor suggest lupus testing in the past but I couldn't afford it. Appreciate all the feedback. I've been looking up (more) info about Lyme disease and lupus and have decided to get the tests as soon as I've saved up enough money, which could be awhile considering I don't have insurance! Thanks...Sorry that health care costs so much over there. I live in Australia and we have a pretty good health care sysem here. Hope you can afford the tests soon. Good luck. Liz
