breakthrough ... | Autism PDD

After about a week of truly RANCID behavior, T has had another little breakthrough.

Last week was all whining, complaining, crying ... and apparently, a need for extra sleep.  We ended up spending lots of time at home doing quite things ... and not all of us cared for that, unfortunately.

So ... right behind me on the playroom floor, T is currently building this wonderful elaborate CASTLE, out of megablocks!  The ones I was going to donate somewhere because the kids were NOT building with them, just fighting over who got the most.  She has really never built anything at all, with them, before now!  So this is VERY exciting ... I knew her highest ability lay in spatial-temporal stuff ... concrete logic ... but FINALLY it is coming out!  Woo hoo!

ETA: And BTW:  the rancid whiny behavior is gone, her communication is articulate, and structured, and there is verbal evidence of PLANNING ...

It REALLY REALLY helped me to anticipate a breakthrough of some kind, last week.  The week would've been much tougher without that insight.

foxl39299.4421643519That is great! Spatial stuff is so important. Could she be an engineer or
architect in training? My oldest is great at that as well. thats great!!!!!! Congrats!

See, that's what I asked HER ... she says she wants to be a lifeguard, though!

I am betting, giventhe chance, she is going to go - math-science-engineering, though.  Eventually.

A Lifeguard is cute:)

I got rid of truckloads of toys Sarah totally ignored and now she asked for them.

I love the breakthroughs!! Keep em' coming:)
