Hello to all. My name is Daniel and I am the proud father of Max. Max was diagnosed with autism when he was just over a year old and has been recieving services ever since. He is now eight. In an attempt to help Max and other families that have experienced a life with autism; I am starting a web site. I have several ideas for the site but I would love to hear from all of you. What would you like to see or have in a website? Once up, the site will be at aidingtheautistic.com

When our son was first diagnosed, I didnt know what to do or where to start. Maybe you could put in a section that tells parents where to start. Maybe research all they can about Autism, put in links that tells about Autism services for each state?
How is your son doing now that he is older and has recieved intervention?
This site has everything to hope for:) Look it over and it should give you some great ideas:)
I think an individual "links" catagory would be great..we have so many excellent links on every subject on this board but you have to dig a little to find them:)

He is doing great! Thanks for asking. He will be in the third grade this year and he is reading and doing math like a champ.
Thank you for your advice, I agree it would be great to have a section helping parents find services and how to get things started.
Is the snake in the picture yours? We have a African grey parret and Max does alright with it, except the quick hand movements tend to freak the bird out.
