AUTISM...Suspecting? Just Diagnosed? | Autism PDD

Share

When I first suspected my son might have Autism I tried researching it further online.
I found lots of articles and joined a forum or two, but the following link is
THE BEST "symptom" information I've seen so far...
"VISUAL GUIDE TO BEHAVIORAL SYMPTOMS"
( scroll down to page 6 )
http://www.helpautismnow.com/p/physhandbook.pdf

Unfortunately, I didn't find this guide until after my son was already diagnosed.
As the best case scenario is recognizing the symptoms as early as possible.

I'm going to print it out and use it to better explain my son's condition to family, friends, neighbors, teachers, strangers, etc.
It's all still very overwhelming and I get so emotional when I try to explain it, so I'm really very excited about finding this!

Thanks for the link.  That's a great site.  I especially like all of the colorful illustrations.  They really help to clarify things, and make it all a little less cold.  A black and white list can be so sterile to read through, especially when you're first looking for answers. great link, thanksCute illustrations & very informative:) Thanks:) I like that site. the pictures were really easy to understand. Thanks everyone...it's feels good to know that even with my being a "newbie" I was finally able to contribute something.   Thanks for the link!

That was excellent, and conveys how sensory issues manifest themselves in behavior, which most other lists ignore.

Thank you!

really cute and wonderful photos
