does anyone have tricare | Autism PDD

Anyone who is active duty and has a child with special needs should be in  the exceptional Family Member Program.  I have no idea what Stomp is...never heard of it.  I have heard of ECHO  which has apparently replaced the persons with disabilities program and they help pay for ABA.  A friend of mine just got approved for 4 hours a week ABA through the echo program.

I was just told tri-care has programs for parents and kids with disabilities, autism, IEP. I just found out about it. I wish I knew about it 3 yrs ago.  Has anyone been in the exceptional family program or stomp?
Can you please tell me more. I just found out about it yesterday.

If you have tricare prime and are active duty, you should qualify for ECHO, which will help pay some expenses relating to ASD-mainly some ABA stuff. Since we didn't choose to go with ABA (on the advice of an ABA-trained child psychologist no less!), ECHO didn't really do much for us. But it's worth lookinginto and asking about.

We're in the EFMP. On the whole, I've found everyone to be helpful, but then, we haven't needed much additional assistance, either. They did have DH's orders canceled when we were supposed to PCS to Abilene, TX, last year. Our dev. ped. said that services were much easier to get here in Dayton than there. He was right!

I have tricare and am in the ECHO program. They tell me that they will pay for up to 00 per month for aba therapy, but only by a BCBA, not any assistants, etc.. This is great, though my ABA therapist is only able to come 2 hours a week.. and they are hard to find in this area.. So I have to do alot of it myself..Good luck to you!
