One thing about being a parent of a child with autisim is the
routine. We complain about, we live by it, if we waiver from it we
are punished, but we also grow very used to it. Amanda wakes up
between 7 and 7:30 every morning 7 days a week. I've made it a
point to wake up at 5:30 so that I can be completely ready for her when
she wakes up. I also get around an hour of quiet time to read and
drink my coffee.
So imagine my surprise that when at 6:30 I hear her yelling from her
room, I open the door and low and behold I see that the Fecal Fairy had
paid a visit.
Thirty minutes of tub washing and nail scrubbing and general disgust
later the little fudgecicle is cleaned up. We had to throw away
the comfortor and pillows. She hadn't done this in a long time so
it was a shock and a disappointment.
This is definately one of those times where four years of high school ag classes helps out.
John,
I have dealt with this when I thought we were done too. My son fancies himself quite the fingerpainter!!! Not a fun day. But thankfully...knock on wood....it's been a few months since the last episode...Are we done yet??? God I hope so..LOL

Oh mine was not done with that until they were like 7 or 8. Maybe you will be lucky and they will get thru this stage faster.
