My child is entering kindergarten this year in FL . We are fairly happy with
his education so far. He has been receiving services through the state, and
public school system since the age of one.
We are planning on moving to NC in summer 2008, and I am
concerned about what actions I should take prior to moving. Should I
push for specific IEP changes? Things that I should consider.
I am overwhelmed by this decision to move, but will be closer to family. I
have spoken to schoolboards, schools, and plan to observe the potential
schools, meet teachers this fall.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I grew up in Jamestown, NC - I loved it there.
I am looking at Tryon/Columbus- Polk County( Polk CentralElem.), also
Hickory-Caldwell County (Granite Falls Elem) and Belmont- Gaston
County. Prinipals were very good about answering my questions, and
invited me to spend the day observing this fall.
I am searching within 45 min. radius of Shelby, Cherryville areas. (family)Before I offer any advice or information, I need to ask what county are you planning on moving to in NC because I currently reside in Guilford County?
