Brandon Earnshaw who last year was the first person in history with autism to ever qualify for the Karate National in the non-handicap division. The story was cover by CNN's show "American Morning" in 2006. This year Brandon competed in the non-handicap and and the handicap division. The tourament that Brandon competes at as well as all the other students from Green's Karate (greenskarate.com) is at the USA-N.K.F. (usankf.org) Nationals which is the highest level for traditional karate possible in the U.S. The USANKF is a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee. Last year, Brandon competed in the non-handicap division and placed 5th out of 8 in the 11-year-old boy's beginner kata. This year he competed in the 12 year-old novice boys kata and placed 5th out of 12. He's getting better :). This year In the handicap division he won the gold medal. Congraduations Brandon Earnshaw! You are continuing to inspire people across the country and give hope to parents that have children with autism! Alex Davidson who also competed in the National tournament did a great job and placed 7th out of 11 in 9 year-old boys beginning kata.
