well, maryland needs to be moved to the needs intervention column. unless you live in montgomery county or the north west side of baltiimore county intervention does nothing and good luck getting more than 2 hours per week.......even with an advocate. ugh/yuk!I agree as far as Texas goes...we have friends in other areas who love all
their resources & the school district. Our area--no so much! What's worse,
is there are school districts just a few minutes from us that are WAY better
than ours. I wish there was more continuity...not only state-wide, but
across the country, across the board. I've seen some improvements in the
past 1-2 years from the TX government, so I agree, phone calls, letters,
emails, etc. DO work!!! We just need to keep on them!!Mine (arizona) needs assistance
After a lot of struggle we have a total of
7.5 hours ABA
1 hr OT and
2 hours speech
which also keeps getting cancelled rescheduled or the therapist is sick/needs to leave early/car breaks down /caught in traffic etc etc
CO school system not surprised they've been sued yearly. They should use that money to help American kids in need not those 2nd speaking illgeals. Here in my county they only had an illgeal full day K-program for free but childern like my daughter would learning issues with IEP are excluding for full day K. I even asked to pay for it.
