update on brush/compression therapy | Autism PDD

Hi everyone

I just wanted to give a update on Devin's progress due to brush / compression therapy. We have used the therapy for a little bit over a month now and the change is amazing!!!! Devin is starting to talk

When I was telling a friend of mine she just looked at me like so what, that kinda hurt.  She just don't understand how great that is.  But I know that you all understand.  Because up to this point Devin never talked.  not a word , only noises.  I know we have a LONG way to go.  But OMG I'm floating on a cloud!!!!

Wow!!! That is terrific, & must be so exciting! So glad to hear how
well brush/compression is going & all the good that is coming along with it. That's awesome.  We had great success with this technique as well.  We've had great success with this too. Lachlan has stopped stimming altogether since we implemented the program.We used this with both our boys when they were young, and it seemed to help.  When my youngest was going through a hand-clapping phase this past year, I broke out the brush again and started just brushing his hands.  It helped!We just started it, and now I'm excited to see what happens!  Good for you!That is wonderful !!!
We have an O.T. appointment in 6 weeks to be shown how to do it right -I
can't wait.Wow, that is really good. I used it on my daughter, it relaxed her and helped her learn amberwaves39289.4147800926  That is wonderful!!!!!! It worked great for our DS too, meltdowns were almost gone. He used to have 5 a day, now he might have one everyoother day. I am soooo glad your little guy is having success with this, and I bet the words will keep coming!!!

My son's speech therapist has talked about trying joint compressions and brushing with Jason, too, hoping it will do exactly what it appears it's done for your Devin.

Congrats!  Vroom, vrooom!  Whoda thunk that could sound so sweet to our ears, eh?
